Book Description: A collection of 11 short stories by Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi. Very beautifully written and a treat for readers of Urdu language. The setting of most of the stories is rural Punjab, places near Lahore. The scenes are described wonderfully. One of the stories entitled 'Saaye' (Shadows) is so exquisite to read. 'Kharboozay' is about a boy who craves for a melon but gets slapped everytime he asks his mother. 'Nasheb-o-Faraz' is about poor farmer who owes money to the landlord and has to sell his daughter for money to pay his debt but a lover of his daughter saves her but tragedy befalls the poor household.
All stories are well written.
